MAIN PETERI

Main Peteri atau disebut juga �Main Puteri� atau �Main Teri� merupakan sebuah seni persembahan yang popular di Kelantan. Permainan yang dikatakan telah wujud sejak kurun ke 17 atau 18 ini mempunyai unsur-unsur magis dan ritual pemujaan yang dipengaruhi kepercayaan animism, hinduisme dan juga keislaman. Dalam persembahan ini Tuk Puteri , Tuk Minduk dan pemuziuk yang digelar �panjak� melayani �angin� pesakit.

MAIN PETERI

Main Peteri (also called Main Puteri or Main Teri ) is a dramatic performance popular, especially in Kelantan. Said to date from the 17th or 18 th century it embodies magical and ritual elements influenced by animism, Hinduism and Islam . It is performed by two men called, Tuk Puteri and Tuk Minduk, accompanied by a band of musicians called the Panjak. The main purpose of the performance is therapeutic � to stimulate and set free within a sick person known as �angin� (wind).
